Forge & Crafting
The crafting loop explained — what materials to farm, how to use Ancient Forges, and when to upgrade.
1
How the Forge Works
The Forge is the crafting system at the heart of Iron Soul Dungeon. The core loop is: kill monsters → collect Crystallized Ore and rare materials → visit Ancient Forges → craft or upgrade weapons → use that power to reach harder dungeons and better drops. It's a progression engine that converts farming time into permanent gear upgrades.
2
Materials to Farm
Crystallized Ore is the primary crafting resource — you'll need it for every weapon. Crystal Shards and Crystal Flakes are upgrade components used for weapon progression. Rare materials are weapon-specific drops from monsters and dungeon content. Prioritize Ore first, then Shards, then Flakes as you progress.
3
Ancient Forge Locations
Ancient Forges are scattered throughout the dungeons. Bring your collected materials to these locations to craft new weapons or improve existing ones. Different weapons require different material combinations and quantities. Check what your target weapon needs before farming — don't spread materials across every weapon too early.
4
Forge Priority Order
1. Craft a reliable weapon first (Fast Blade or Staff are easier progression anchors). 2. Upgrade only what you use — don't waste scarce materials on weapons you won't main. 3. Farm harder dungeons once your gear improves — better weapons should immediately convert into better material farming efficiency.
5
Forge Master Skill Path
The Forge Master skill tree specializes in crafting and provides bonuses to the forge system, making it easier to create and upgrade weapons. Choose this path if gear progression is your priority. For most beginners, Attacker is better for faster clears, but switch to Forge Master once you're focused on optimizing your weapon.
